BTS – Champions of Asia!

BTS made a successful first international trip by winning the inaugural Asia Youth Cup in Singapore. After a slow start to the 2nd day, BTS needed a win in the final group game against Anusorn of Thailand. The team started playing with more passion and skill and secured a 2-0 win. The semifinal was another 2-0 win and victory meant a chance to become champions. Things did not start too well going one down to an early goal against ASTAM of Indonesia. However an immediate reply with a thunderous strike from Tomoki brought BTS level. Kazuki  added a second following up from a shot from Sharv and another Kazuki effort gave BTS an unassailable lead. Some excellent defending by Ryo and some heroic goalkeeping by Nikki meant the trophy was on its way to Hong Kong.

We are proud of our team members Ryo, Kazuki, Sharv, Tomoki, Nikki, Kawai, Wataru, Kyota, Shun, Tomasso and coaches Eder and Bruno.

U15’s host HKFC at King’s Park

U15 Friendly: BTS 4 HKFC 1

Saturday afternoon saw BTS U15’s host HKFC at King’s Park.

BTS were missing a few key players including a recognized keeper, and although going a goal down early on, they got back into the match with a great overhead volley from Charlie after sustained pressure. Half-time 1:1

Both teams wasted opportunities in the 2nd half, before Vishal scored BTS’s second, and Jay, the youngest kid on the park, beating the offside trap to score BTS’s third. Daryesh wrapped up the win with a great solo fourth.

The win maintain’s BTS U15’s start to the season.

U11’s continued their winning ways

BTS U11’s continued their winning ways with a closely fought victory over a resilient Tai Tam Tigers with a 2-1 win at Cherry Street astro on Saturday morning.
BTS had much of the possession but couldn’t turn that into a more comfortable result, with Tai Tam looking dangerous on the counter.

However, Sharv pounced on a spill by the keeper from a Jay free-kick, and a wonderful lob from Ryo from a Prabhat pass sealed the win, and took BTS to the top of the U11 Premiership table.

U11’s win 4-2 against HK Football Club

Perfect football weather (rain and wind) saw BTS U11’s put in a strong performance against a decent Hong Kong Football Club 1 side to win their HK Junior Football League match 4-2 at the YMCA pitch.

With Maco on the sidelines resting a slight niggle, goals came courtesy of Sharv and Kazuki, getting a brace each.

The win keeps the U11’s second in the table with a game in hand.
